The exhibition presents the experience and summary of the workshops within the project Urban Walk/Architecture Talk, which took place in April and May 2017. The project was implemented as a result of the collaboration between Gdańsk City Gallery, the Faculty of Architecture of the Gdańsk University of Technology, the Faculty of Construction Engineering of La Sapienza University (Rome-Italy), and Chodowiecki&Grass House in Gdańsk.

The main focus of the Gdańsk workshop was to discover a bit forgotten but potentially very attractive district of Osiek, starting from a more general study of the urban spaces of the historical parts of the city of Gdańsk – the Main Town, the University of Technology Campus, the Lower Town and the Shipyard, as well as Gdańsk City Galleries, in order to analyse the set of more particular problems of the district itself, throughout the series of workshops and during the final event – the international Jane Jacob’s Walk. Similarly, the Roman part of the project, encompassing an array of seminars, lectures, meetings and field trips concluded by the main event – Jane Jacob’s Walk in the San Lorenzo district, provided the comparative material for the further analyses of the local practice and experience.

During the exhibition the visitors will be given the opportunity to see the works resulted from the active observations in the form of photos, films, sketches and designs created during the study visits in Gdańsk and Rome.

The exhibition will be accompanied by the special presentation of a mural created by the Italian street artist – Ozmo.
